Experimental Estimation of Parameters of the Equivalent Circuit of a Three-Phase Induction Motor with Gearbox

In this work an induction motor equivalent circuit with cage rotor and gear box is elaborated using parameters determined from standardized tests: the DC test, the no load test, and the blocked rotor test. This equivalent circuit is employed to generate the Thevenin equivalent circuit of the motor, and to calculate the motor electric powers. The Thevenin circuit is also used for computing the starting, and the pullout torques, and ploting the induced torque-speed and current-speed characteristics.
